Coaching Requirements
The KLMHA is fueled by volunteers who step forward and lend a hand. If you are interested in helping casually, part-time or more, please reach out.
Coaching Requirements:
All coaching staff (on the bench and ice) require:
- A Vulnerable Records Check. If you don’t have yours, please email klmha@live.ca to request a form to have yours done.
- Gender Identity & Expression
- Respect in Sport – Activity Leader
Please see the below image to see the different certification requirements needed for each level, from Timbits (tyke/initiation) and up to be a Coach, Assistant Coach, Trainer or Manager. Please note, these requirements may change from season to season – click here for the most current requirements from the NOHA.
To register for your coaching clinic, please visit here. If clinic details and registration are not open yet, please email klmha@live.net.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email and ask. Don’t let unanswered questions get in the way of helping great kids have a great coaching staff. Email any questions to klmha@live.ca.
Coaching Application:
If you are interested in joining the coaching staff (as head coach, assistant, trainer, manager or simply as an on-ice helper) please ensure you complete and submit your application ASAP. If you coached last season, you still need to submit a new application for record purposes each season.
Please click here to download and fill out the form. If you prefer to complete it digitally, you can use smallpdf.com/sign-pdf to fill it out online and email it to klmha@live.ca. We want to keep things as simple and easy as we can for our staff while still following the rules and keeping everyone covered.
