Rowan’s Law: Concussion Awareness
Rowan’s Law is new to this season, “Rowan’s Law was named for Rowan Stringer, a high school rugby player from Ottawa, who died in the spring of 2013 from a condition known as second impact syndrome (swelling of the brain caused by a subsequent injury that occurred before a previous injury healed).”
Each Player MUST complete this before going on the ice this season! Your player will not be allowed on the ice without approval from the association after completion.
To complete the requirements:
- Click the link pertaining to your child’s age
- Review it with your player(s)
- Pring and fill out the form confirming that your child has completed this task
- Drop off the signed form in the KLMHA mailbox at the Complex which is located outside the KLMHA office downstairs, at the end of the hallway, past the dressing rooms to your left.
